How to help
Railpen have lobbied the Secretary of State to get their plans called-in, thus bypassing local democracy.
We thank the Ward Councillors, in particular Petersfield, for their support, the case officers and planning committee who unanimously were ‘minded to refuse’ the plans. If you wrote to object or express concerns, then a thank you, you made a difference.
We are disappointed at this breach of trust.

We need your help to preserve the democracy of Cambridge, the biodiversity, our skyline and ensure that future plans include the community.
We ask you to email Daniel Zeichner, the MP for Cambridge. You should include your name, address and a phone number. If you’re stuck on what to say, then our statement to the planning committee may inspire you. We wish him to visit the street affected and the 150 homes, and further more invite the Secretary of State to view too.
